Vertigon 25mg Tablets are used to relieve symptoms of vertigo, dizziness, and nausea by helping to restore balance and comfort.

Vertigon contains promethazine teoclate, a sedating antihistamine that works by blocking histamine receptors in the brain to reduce feelings of motion sickness and balance disorders. It is especially useful in conditions such as vertigo, Ménière’s disease, and travel sickness.

The tablets are easy to administer, with dosage suitable for adults and older children. Its calming effects help reduce the disorientation associated with vestibular disturbances, allowing sufferers to carry on with daily life or rest more comfortably during acute episodes. As with all antihistamines, drowsiness may occur, so caution is advised when performing tasks requiring alertness.

Warnings and cautions

• Do not use in children under 2 years old
• Do not take if allergic to promethazine or other phenothiazines
• Not suitable if taking MAOIs or if suffering from CNS depression
• Avoid alcohol and strong sunlight during use
• May cause drowsiness – do not drive or operate machinery until you know how it affects you
• Contains lactose and sodium metabisulphite – check with your doctor if intolerant

How to use

1. Adults: Take 1 tablet at night. If needed, up to 2–3 tablets can be taken throughout the day. Do not exceed 4 tablets in 24 hours.
2. Children 10 years and over: 1 tablet daily, as advised.
3. Children 5–10 years: Half a tablet daily. Vertigon is not suitable for children under 5 years – use the liquid alternative.
4. Do not take for more than 7 consecutive days without consulting a doctor.
